About Myself 自己紹介
I have broad professional experience in and out of academia. Other than doing research/education, I have worked for CTBTO, an international organization located in Vienna, and worked as a research administrator for Tohoku University. I like interacting with people having different cultures/disciplines and doing a wide range of things.
My research focuses on understanding earthquake physics and developing tools for better assessing earthquake hazard using geodetic data and numerical modeling techniques. I am also interested in how we can use scientific information with uncertainty in the society.
主に、測地データを使った地震発生の物理の研究をしています。 特に、衛星SARデータを用いた地表の変形の検出とそのデータのモデリングを通じた断層のすべりや周囲での変形の研究をしてきました。 今後、海底測地データも使った海溝型地震の研究もしていく予定です。 また、（不確実性を含む）科学的知見を社会に活かす方法についても興味を持っています。
国際機関で働いたり、フランスで学位を取ったり、リサーチ・アドミニストレータとして大学の研究推進に関わったりと、幅広いことをしてきましたが、そのような経験も活かしていろいろな活動を展開していきたいと思っています。
