About Myself 自己紹介
I have broad professional experience in and out of academia. Other than doing research/education, I have worked for CTBTO, an international organization located in Vienna, and worked as a research administrator for Tohoku University. I like interacting with people having different cultures/disciplines and doing a wide range of things.
My research focuses on 'bosai' communication science (communication science for disaster risk reduction; the science and art of DRR behavior change), understanding earthquake/volcano physics for better assessing hazard, and detection of signals related to fault movements and volcanic activities for better forecasts.
私の研究は、防災コミュニケーション学（防災行動変容の科学と実践）、地震・火山の物理過程の理解を通じたハザード評価の高度化、さらに断層運動や火山活動に関連するシグナルの検出による予測精度の向上に焦点を当てています。 主に、測地データを使った地震発生の物理の研究をしています。
国際機関で働いたり、フランスで学位を取ったり、リサーチ・アドミニストレータとして大学の研究推進に関わったりと、幅広いことをしてきましたが、そのような経験も活かしていろいろな活動を展開していきたいと思っています。
